Project Description
- JE Fuller was retained by the Flood Control District of Maricopa County and Town of Fountain Hills to perform updated and new hydraulic analyses for delineating/updating Special Flood Hazard Areas for segments of Asbrook Wash and Cloudburst Wash in the Town of Fountain Hills, Arizona. This project followed a complete update of the watershed hydrology for the study reaches. Under this work assignment, JE Fuller updated the watercourse hydraulics and floodplain delineations to reflect the new hydrology, new topographic mapping, new development, and recently constructed drainage improvements within the watershed that included new culvert crossings of Ashbrook Wash, recent improvements to Golden Eagle Park Dam, and new development along Cloudburst Wash. JE Fuller completed a full TSDN, incorporating the prior hydrology sections and adding the hydraulics and floodplain mapping elements. The TSDN was submitted by the District to FEMA for approval and updating of the corresponding FIRM panels.
