Flood warning encompasses real-time ALERT/ALERT2 systems, hydro-meteorological data collection, and camera surveillance for advance notification of conditions leading to flooding or dam failures, and for management of water resources. Those who use these services include first responders, scientists, engineers, wildlife and hatchery managers who rely upon accurate, timely water resources information to make informed decisions that save lives and help to better understand and manage water resources. Since 1996, JEF has provided these services to local, state and federal public agencies, and to private-sector organizations including the mining industry, and land development and management groups.
